Second nut low in omaha 8

In Omaha 8 if you have the second nut low on the river, like an A3 low and there’s a lot of action in a multiway pot, even in the pot is big you should consider folding. You’re most likely beat by at least one, maybe even two A2s. If you’re not beat, the most you can hope for is that you’re not getting quartered by another A3.

Betting in omaha8 low

In Omaha 8, you don’t want to put a dime in if the board has three cards to the wheel in it and you don’t have the wheel already. Chances are GOOD that someone has locked up the low and you’re drawing against a very strong made hand that’s almost guaranteed half the pot.

Playing position in omaha8

In limit Omaha 8 you really don’t have to worry about your position if there are four or more opponents seeing the flop. If you have two good draws (like to the nut high and low) or more, you’ll be getting the right price to draw no matter how many raises you have to call.

Two pair in the hole in omaha8

In Omaha 8 you really don’t want to play two pair hands like J6J6, even if it’s double suited. You’ll need to flop a set to have a chance at the best hand and have it hold up; that won’t happen often enough to make it worth playing these kinds of hands.

Building pots in omaha 8

In Omaha 8 use your raises to build pots. You just aren’t chasing anyone out preflop in Omaha 8 so raise only with suited A2 hands so when you hit your flush AND make the low you’ll have a nice pot to scoop or three-quarter.
