Rakeback Tips
Rakeback Tips
If you’re not using rakeback, you’re not doing everything you can to achieve maximum success at online poker. Rake back simply increases your online poker win rate, no matter how good or bad a poker player you are. Here are some tips for maximizing your rakeback advantage.
Choose Your Rakeback Site Wisely
Different rakeback affiliates have different deals with different online poker sites. Make sure you choose the best rakeback site that offers the highest percentage of rakeback for the site you wish to sign up with. A good rakeback percentage is in the neighborhood of 30 percent. If you can find one higher than that, you are in good shape.
Make Sure You Are Earning Rakeback
Some sites don’t include tournament fees in their rakeback calculation. If you are exclusively a tournament player, this is not a rakeback deal that you want. Make sure that your rakeback site offers rakeback for the games that you play.
Play at the Site Where You Earn Rakeback
Rakeback is only effective at the site you signed up with through the rakeback deal. For example: if you want rakeback at PKR, you need to visit a PKR rakeback affiliate first. If you plan to play at a number of different sites, you should try to get rakeback deals with all of them. Alternatively, online bonus promotions may be more suited to the way you play.
Recalculate Your Win Rate
Since each pot you win is worth more, your win rate should improve with rakeback. This does not mean that you will be a long-term winner. What it does mean is that if you are a losing player with a negative win rate, each session will cost you less than before. If you were a slight loser or break-even player, you will have a positive win rate. If you were already a winning player, you will be a bigger winner with rakeback.
