Moments after an opponent takes a really rough beat he’s back in the pot but this time with you, slinging chips. With a decent hand but not great hand, consider his focus and discipline. Is this a guy on tilt or someone betting a really strong hand? Some players will give up marginal spots when they’ve just taken a beat, others will simply try to force the hand through.
