Against a chatty opponent on river
After making a bet on the river in Hold’em, don’t speak to your opponent if he starts asking questions. Often he has a medium-strength hand and is looking for a reason to call or fold. By speaking, you’re giving him more information and even if you try to give him ‘MIS-information,’ he may see right through it.
