Tipping at the poker table
Tipping at the table is a hot topic in the poker-world. Many pros don’t tip the dealers, even in the largest of largest pots. Why? Well for the average profitable player who wins 2.5 pots an hour, if he tips $1 a pot, he’s losing $2.5 an hour PLUS rake. Over the course of 1500 hours of play in a year (typical for a full-time pro), he’d tip $3,750. That’s a bankroll for some games!
