Betting the river in limit
In limit Holdem, if you bet a strong hand (but not the nuts) on the river and get raised you may want to reraise. You only stand to lose two more big bets when you are beat (which shouldn’t be too often considering the strength of your hand) but you will make at least one more big bet when you have the best hand. In limit when the pot is big, players have a hard time folding a strong hand on the river, even if they are reraised.
