Not all gutshots are the same
It’s never a good idea to draw to a gut-shot that makes a second best straight or a very obvious straight. When you have 9T and the flop is 267, the 8 makes you the nut straight but also makes a 45 straight as well and a likely two pair. Unless your opponent pays off frequently or pot odds dictate it, you’re probably better not drawing because you won’t get paid.
