Positive expectations
It’s not good for your game to set monetary goals before a session. “I want to make X†isn’t a good plan, but that’s different than “I’m leaving if I hit X.†Leaving when you’re up a certain amount helps minimize your risk, but don’t be afraid to leave before that either. Leave a game when you feel ready to stop playing, whether your up or down for the night.
