Playing small pocket pairs
Small pocket-pairs (wired nines and down) are the bread-and-butter of no limit hold’em. Don’t try to get tricky by raising preflop with them, you want to see a flop as cheaply as possible and against as many opponents as possible. By doing so, you’ll decrease your variance and increase the chance of someone making a strong second best hand.
