Advice on avoiding chip-bleeding in a loose game

In loose, aggressive no limit Hold’em games, it’s tempting to call preflop raises with speculative hands like suited connectors or suited one-gappers. The problem with calling these raises is that you can bleed a lot of chips in the meantime. There’s also the chance that you could hit the flop hard when everyone misses and not get reimbursed on your previous calls.
