How to play your draw against a set
If you flop a draw and think you’re up against a set, remember that your opponent will make a full house a third of the time. So even if you have 8 clean outs (that don’t make him a boat), you’ll still lose about a third of the time. To quickly calculate your appropriate odds in this case, base your rough percentages on 2/3rds of your outs (8 clean outs are actually 5.3 outs).
