Buying the right chips for the right game
When buying chips for a cash game, try to buy as few as ‘single unit’ chips as possible. Nothing says “I’ve never played this limit†like bring a rack of white to a table. All the singles infuriate the regulars and make you look stupid. In a 2-5 game, the single unit chip would be the one dollar chip. In a 5-10 game, the single unit chip would be the $5 chip.
