How much of a bankroll do you need to play a certain limit? Well to be properly rolled for no limit holdem, you need about 20 buy-ins. For limit poker, experts say you need between 300 and 500 big bets. Increase these numbers by 30% for Omaha games. Also, you can expect to add 30-45% to those numbers if you’re using your bankroll for anything else besides playing (like buying cool electronics, paying rent, dinners, etc).
