Flopping a set
In Hold’em, you’ll flop a set about 1 in every 8 times. Someone else will flop a higher set about once in every 100 times. If you find yourself with middle or bottom set and a player makes an all-in raise at you it’s probably best to get it in (if there are no straight or flush possibilities). Because so many players over play over pairs and two pair like this, you’re right to make the call.
