Raise followed by check
Question: I called a raise in position. On the flop, my opponent checked to me. What do I do? Answer: If I flopped any kind of pair I put in a bet here unless I think he’s trapping me. When I flop a big draw, I’ll bet and if I get check-raised, I’ll consider putting in the third bet. Pot-odds and fold-equity usually make it right to reraise here. If he calls and checks the turn, I’ll check if I miss. If I hit, I value bet.
